Attach the Skimmer Shroud Body (A) to the Skimmer
Mounting Bracket (B) using the provided 1” (25mm) screws
(C). Attach the Skimmer Shroud Lid (D) to the Angle at the
top of the housing using the provided 1” (25mm) screws (C)
(Fig. 35).

The Inner Pipe & Lid (A) is locked down by the Trim Ring
(B) for shipping purposes. Remove the Trim Ring by rotating
it counter-clockwise. Pull the Inner Pipe & Lid out of the
skimmer. Reinstall the Trim Ring followed by the Inner Pipe
& Lid. The Inner Pipe & Lid should float on the surface of
the water (Fig. 36).
Continue filling the pool until the water level (C) reaches
the top of the honeycomb grill at the front of the housing.

If haven’t already installed, the optional Apex Coping
should be installed at this time. Refer to the Apex Coping
Supplemental Guide for detailed instructions.
19. 19. Keypad InstallationKeypad Installation
The Water Quality System Keypad (Fig. 37) should now be
installed. The keypad must plug into the Heater-Controller,
which is most-often installed on the backside of the
front pool wall, therefore the ideal mounting location is
the coping or skirting at the front of the pool. The only
constraint is the length of the keypad cord, which is 10’ (3m).
If the distance between the desired mounting location and
Heater-Controller exceeds 10’ (3m), a keypad extension kit
can be purchased. If this option was ordered, refer to the
Keypad Extension Supplemental Guide.

Draw the cutting template as shown in Figure 38 onto
the mounting surface. Cut out the hole using a saw that’s
appropriate for the finish material.
Clean the mounting surface and then peel the adhesive
gasket from the back of the Keypad. Insert the cord and
Keypad into the opening that was cut out. Press gently on
the Keypad to adhere to the surface. Secure the Keypad
with the provided Spacers (A) and Wing Nuts (B) (optional).
If the surface (and sub-surface) is deeper than the
threaded studs of the Keypad, then the adhesive gasket
will be sufficient.
