6.1 Structure and Functions of the Prosonic S
6.1.1 Function blocks
The Prosonic S contains various function blocks. During the commissioning procedure the blocks
are linked to each other in order to perform the desired measuring task. Depending on the
instrument version and installation environment, the following function blocks may occur:
Signal inputs
•Sensor 1
• Sensor 2 (if selected in the product structure)
Signal evaluation (calculation of the measured value)
• Level 1
• Level 2 (for instruments with 2 current outputs)
• Flow 1 (for flow instruments)
• Flow 2 (for flow instruments)
Controls
• Pump control
• Rake control
• Backwater detection
Signal output
•Display
• Current output 1 with HART
• Current output 2 (if selected in the product structure)
•Relay 1
• Relay 2 (for instruments with 3 or 6 relays)
• Relay 3 (for instruments with 3 or 6 relays)
