With a pressurized tank, a protective pipe or a thermowell without any holes, slits, nor an
open end must be installed in order to protect the probes from pressure.

If the pressure inside a tank exceeds the pressure limit, install a thermowell with no
holes or slits surrounding NMT81 to protect NMT81 from the application (process)
pressure. However, NMS8x requires a stilling well with holes and slits.
The thermowell is installed from the top of the tank nozzle. Cover the bottom of the
thermowell and weld it to protect the probe from the pressure.
