6�1 Connection requirements
Please note the following points before connecting up the device:
•Thevoltagesupplymustmatchthevoltagespeciedonthenameplate.
•Switchothesupplyvoltagebeforeconnectingthedevice.
• Connect a potential matching line to the terminal to be used on the device before connecting
to the power supply.
•Whenconnectingtothepublicpowersupply,apowerswitchforthedevicemustbeinstalled
withineasyreachofthedevice.Theswitchistobeidentiedasadisconnectingdevicefor
the device (EN/IEC 61010).
•Thecableglandsandconnectorsarepermittedforconnectingxedcablesandlinesonly.
The operator must ensure adequate strain relief.
• The device is to be attached so that the cable gland is protected from mechanical damage
(degree of mechanical hazard "low" – impact energy: 4 joules).
•Unusedguideopeningsmustbesealedousingsealingplugs,theplastictransportsealing
plug does not meet this requirement and must therefore be replaced during installation.
Fordevicesintendedforuseinhazardousareas,pleasereadtheinformationandcomply
withtheinstructionsintheExdocumentation(XA).

6�1�2 Connecting cable requirements
Theconnectingcablesprovidedbythecustomermustfullthefollowingrequirements:
• Electrical safety in accordance with applicable national regulations.
• Permitted temperature range→52
• Normal installation cable with at least three wires
• Cable cross-sections: 0.2 to 2.5 mm

• Clamping range of the cable:
