2�1 Requirements for personnel
Thepersonnelforinstallation,commissioning,diagnosticsandmaintenancemustmeetthe
following requirements:
•Trained,qualiedspecialists:Mustbequaliedforthisspecicroleandtask
• Authorized by the plant operator
• Familiar with national regulations
• Before starting work: Read and make sure you have understood the instructions in the
manualandsupplementarydocumentationaswellasthecerticates(dependingonthe
application)
‣Followtheinstructionsandcomplywiththegeneralrequirements
Operating personnel must meet the following requirements:
• Must be instructed and authorized according to the requirements of the task by the plant
operator
• Follow the instructions in this manual
2�2 Designated use
The device described in this manual is only meant for limit detection of bulk solids and liquids.
Dependingontheversionordered,thedevicemaydetectexplosivesubstancesaswell.
• The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by improper or non-designated use.
Conversion work or changes must not be carried out on the device.
• The device is designed for use in industrial environments and may only be operated when
installed.
• The device can and may only be repaired by the manufacturer.
The Soliwave microwave barrier is approved for use in hazardous areas.
Proceed in accordance with the safety instructions.
