TS-12 Musician’s Manual Section 15 — Sampled Sound Parameters

The following diagram illustrates how the 2ND-RELEASE-TIME and REL-LEVEL interact with
the VEL-HARD and SOFT levels of a typical envelope shape.

KBD-TIME-SCALING Range: -99 to +99
KBD-TIME-SCALING makes the envelope times shorter or longer above and below the
WaveSample root key depending on the key played. Positive values will make all envelope times
shorter for keys above the root key, and longer for keys below the root key. Negative values will
have the opposite effect. Envelope times for the WaveSample root key are not affected by this
parameter. 2ND-RELEASE-TIME is also not affected by this parameter.
VEL-ATCK-TIME Range: 0 to 99
This parameter makes envelope attack time (TIME-1) respond to velocity. Raising the VEL-
ATCK-TIME value above zero makes TIME-1 shorter with harder keystrikes. If TIME-1 is set to
zero this parameter will have no effect.
Press the Env 3 button again. The display shows the third ENV3 sub-page.
Envelope MODE Range: NORMAL, FINISH, REPEAT
The MODE parameter has three states:
• NORMAL: The envelope will behave as pictured in the previous envelope diagrams.
• FINISH: The envelope will run through its full cycle, ignoring the key-up event. The envelope
finishes what you set it up to do.
• REPEAT: The envelope will repeatedly cycle through LEVELS 2 through 5, using TIMES 1
through 4, for as long as the key is held down. When the envelope gets to LEVEL 5, it goes
back to LEVEL 2.
