theMiniGBICfromtheportslot.ForthetypeofMiniGBICshown
inFigure 32,pull
outonthereleasetabtoreleasetheMiniGBICfromtheportslot.
4. Graspthesidesofthe MiniGBICandpullitstraightoutoftheportslot.
IfstoringorshippingaMiniGBIC,whichhasafiberopticconnector,insertitsprotective
dust
covertoprotecttheendsofthefiberopticfibersfromdust orcontamination.

Wheninstallingtheswitchonaflatsurface,theinstallationoftherubberfeetis
recommendedtopreventtheswitchfromslidingonaflatsurface.Installingtherubber
feetisoptionalifyouareinstalling theswitchinarack.Toinstalltherubberfeet,proceed
toInstallingthe
RubberFeetinstructionsbelow.Forinstructionstorackmountthe
switch,proceedtoRackMountingtheSwitchonpage 39.
Installing the Rubber Feet
Toinstalltherubberfeet,refertoFigure 33andproceedasfollows:
1. Placetheswitchonitsbackonasturdyflatsurfacetogainaccesstothebottomofthe
chassis.
2. Removethefourrubberfeetfromtheirplasticbaginthe shippingbox.
3. Locatethefourmarkedlocationson
thebottomfou r cornersofthechassis.
