Installing or replacing the ribbon cartridge
Before installing the ribbon cartridge, make sure that the printer
is not plugged into an electrical outlet.
Follow these steps to install or replace the ribbon cartridge:
1. Make sure the printer is turn off.
2. Open the printer cover to the upright position, then pull it up
to remove it.
3. For LX-1170 users, remove the paper tension unit by
squeezing the tension unit’s lock tabs gently and pull the
tension unit away from the printer.
