Item Parameter Explanation
Actions after Media
Scuffing
Stop Immediately
*
The printer constantly monitors for striking of the media and print head
while printing, so set the operation for when striking occurs.
When Stop Immediately is set, printing stops immediately when striking
is detected.
When Stop when Continuously Detected is set, printing stops if striking
is detected 3 times within 72 cm of fed paper.
When Ignore is set, printing does not stop even if striking is detected.
When striking is detected, the stopped media wrinkles, so take measures,
such as adjusting the temperature of the heater, and clean the area around
the print head if needed.

Nozzle Check between Pages
When On is set, a nozzle check pattern is printed periodically at the
specified timing. When printing is complete, you can visually inspect the
check pattern to determine whether there may be faint or missing colors
in the preceding or following printout.
Execution Timing sets the timing that check patterns are printed.
Execution during Job selects whether to print (On)/not to print (Off) a
check pattern at the set timing during a print job. When Off is set, the
images are nested because a check pattern is printed during printing.
When On is set, a check pattern is printed after finishing the print job.
Normally, leave this On.
Pattern Type selects the type of check pattern. When Paper Saving is set,
media is saved because the length of media needed to print a check
pattern is shorter than for Normal.
