Operation and Maintenance Terminal
The function can fail due to software incompatibility, if no RBS
confirms the connection attempt or if an OMT already is connected
(locally or remotely). In these cases the operator is informed about the
failure. No further action is taken due to the failed connection.
The connection between the RBS and a remotely connected OMT is
established on one PCM timeslot and the maximum transmission rate is
64 kbit/s.
28.4 Operational Conditions
The transmission rate between the OMT and the RBS is 19200 bit/s.
The IDB transfer time (between the OMT and the RBS) is specified in
chapter Installation Data Handling.
