Checking the heating system's water pressure
In buildings with up to three storeys, the optimum
water pressure in a cold heating system is between 1
and 2 bar. For a warm heating system, the optimum
water pressure is between 1.5 and 2.5 bar.

If the water pressure is too low, fill the cold
heating system to approx. 2 bar. Do not fill to a
higher pressure, because water expands as the
temperature rises and the water pressure also rises in
heating mode. The safety valve triggers at approx. 2.8
bar.
If the water pressure drops several times a year,
contact a heating professional. When refilling
water in the heating system, the same water as used
during initial filling should be used whenever possible
(e.g. treated water).
Opening the heating lines
If the system is new or has been out of operation for
some time, verify whether the return riser mixing valve
is in the "AUTO" position and all shut-off valves in the
heating lines are open.
Always keep ball valves completely open to avoid
ruining the seal. Open the valves by turning anti-
clockwise, and then turn back 1/4 turn from the fully
open position to relieve pressure on the valve stem.
Checking the buffer charging status
Before starting the boiler, check the current buffer
charging status to avoid adding too much wood. Table
Tab. 5-1: "
Correct quantity of wood" shows how much
wood should be added. The buffer charging status is
shown in the boiler overview.
Pay particular attention to the different energy
densities of the fuels and the lower heat
consumption in summer.
Actuate cleaning lever
Close the insulation door and clean the heat
exchanger by repeated movement (10 x) of the
cleaning lever on the side.

This step is omitted if the optional automatic heat
exchanger cleaner is mounted on the boiler.
Open insulation door, draught fan starts automati-
cally
When the insulating door is opened, the draught fan
starts automatically and the switch changes to the
setting. The operating condition changes
from [Ready] to [Insulation door open].

If the draught fan does not start, either a fault or
an alarm is present. Check the messages on the
screen.
