Troubleshooting
The following table gives recommended actions to solve problems that may occur during
setup or operation. If the problem persists after performing the recommended action,
contact Extron Technical Support.

Application features
Open the Sound settings on your PC, and check the following:
• Check that Dolby Digital Audio is disabled in your PC's
Sounds settings as follows:
1. Select the Playback tab on the Sounds settings
window.
2. Right-click Speakers/Headphones and click
Properties.
3. Select the Enhancements tab.
4. Make sure Dolby Digital Audio is disabled.
• In the Communications tab, make sure the setting for
“When Windows detects communication activity” is
set to Do nothing.

No audio for the
Mirror Screen or
Mirror Application
features
• Make sure that the ShareLink Pro application is not muted
in the PC’s volume mixer.
• In the Recording tab (within the PC’s Sounds settings),
make sure that Stereo Mix is enabled and set as the
default device.
• In the Playback tab, check that Speaker is enabled and
set as default device.
• In the Recording and Playback tabs, check that the
ShareLink Pro Audio Driver is enabled.
• Download and install the ShareLink Pro 500 software from
the Extron website (see page 10 for instructions).

Extron Audio Driver
has no audio support
after being installed
• In the Recording and Playback tabs, check that the
ShareLink Pro Audio Driver is enabled and set as default
device when the ShareLink Pro application is running.
• Download and install the ShareLink Pro 500 software from
the Extron website.
