5. Appendix C - Error Messages related to the battery
Error Message: 1800 – 1000:
If this error message appear on the systems screen please follow the next steps:
remove the battery
remove the Power Supply (the system is now obviously completed powered down)
connect the power supply
turn on the system and wait for the graphical user interface to start up
verify that the system GUI appears correctly and that you can scan
now insert the battery (this is maybe enough to force the system to re-establish communication with the
battery)
if the error message 1800 – 1000 appear again then leave everything exactly as it is for 10 to 20 minutes
after this repeat the above steps. It is possible that if you leave the battery in the system for a few
minutes will be enough to give the battery a wake-up charge and restore correct functionality.
Battery capacity lower than 50%:
If this error message appear on the systems screen that indicates that the battery needs recalibration and full
charge.
At one end of the battery there is a small 5-segment LCD used to indicate the battery charge. The LCD
shows one black bar for 1-20% charge, 2 bars for 20-40%, and so on. What do you see on the LCD of the
problematic battery?
Please use one of the eZono battery chargers to recalibrate your battery or send your battery to eZono for
testing and recalibration. The error will come out continuously till the battery is replaced or recalibrated.
It is recommended to have a second battery as a spare part and a charger that you can use for recalibration
and full charge.
Check if battery is charging or not:
Connect the power supply and insert the battery
Turn on the system
Press the Utilities button
Press the Set Up button and observe if the percentage of the BIOS of the battery is getting higher after some
minutes
