5 Locate the pins where the control panel (keypad) is plugged in and
numbering the pins 1 through 5, follow this sequence to test the LED
PC board:
a Jump pins 1 & 2
Cutters should rotate forward.
b Jump pins 1 & 3
Auto-mode: the green LED on the left-hand corner of the PC
board should light indicating the shredder is on.
c Jump pins 1 & 4
Shredder should turn off (no icons are illuminated).
d Jump pins 1 & 5
Cutters should rotate in reverse.
To test for a faulty control panel PC board:
Test for a faulty main PC board and/or LED PC board. If both are functional and
the problem persists, then the control panel PC board is faulty.
Occasionally the capacitor may be defective. Typical problems caused by a
defective capacitor are that the motor runs but with no power.
