3. Fuel system
3.1 Replacing the fuel filter

Replacements and maintenance as per Main-
tenance Schedule, or sooner if engine efficiency
drops.

● Switch off engine
● Unscrew filter cartridge (A).
● Collect fuel spillages.
Danger:
Never allow the presence of naked
flames near the tractor when you are
working on the fuel system!
Do not smoke.

● Remove all dirt particles from filter bracket
sealing face.
● The new filter cartridge sealing ring should be
lightly oiled or moistened with diesel fuel.
● Screw the filter cartridge back in place manu-
ally, and then screw down by a further half
turn until the sealing ring fits snugly.
● Check the filter for leaks.
Note:
It is not necessary to bleed the fuel system.
Any injection leads that have become deta-
ched should be replaced.
Used fuel filters should be treated as hazar-
dous waste.
