5. Commissioning

Before commissioning
· Before commissioning the servo drive make sure that:
the work space is of sufficient size for operation with a
work load,
the work load does not collide with the motor or the
gear of the axis when the axis moves into the end
position.
· Please observe the notes in the operating instructions for
the positioning drive.
Switch−on reaction
First commissioning Relative positioning movements can be carried out as soon as
the device is switched on, e.g. in order to position the axis in
the permitted positioning range. If an absolute positioning is
started, the following fault will be displayed: LAST ACTUAL
POSITION NOT SAVED PLEASE ENFORCE HOMING RUN.
Absolute positioning movements can
only be carried out after
reference travel.
Save position With the default setting ...Save position" (Object
60FBh/20h) the current position when the power supply is
switched off will be saved. The saved position will be read as
the actual position when the device is switched on again.
With self−locking drives the relationship of the
current axis
position to the axis zero point is maintained (quasi−absolute
positioning). The axis can position relatively and absolutely
when the device is switched on again without the need for
new reference travel.
If the value cannot be saved, new reference travel is required
for absolute positioning (−> Fault LA ST ACTUAL POSITION IS
NOT
SAVED ...).
