7.3. E5/E6/E8 monthly maintenance
Perform the weekly maintenance listed also each time the
monthly maintenance is performed.
Point E5/E6/E8 Lubrication
Clean the air cooler condenser in the control centre.
Check the condition of the energy transfer chains of the
coordinate table.
3 Clean and thinly lubricate the flat guide of the clamps. A
Check the condition of the clamp pins. Replace if necessary.
Check the condition and tightness of the compressed air supply
hoses coming to the clamps.
4 Lubricate the slides of the X and Y linear guides.
• E6/E8: X-nipples (10 pcs), Y-nipples (4 pcs)
• E5/C5: X-nipples (8 pcs), Y-nipples (4 pcs)

5 Check the lubricant level in the central lubricating device (NOT
C5/E5).

6 Lubricate the ball screws and thrust bearings of the X and Y
axes (ONLY C5/E5).

Point Turret Lubrication
1 Clean and lubricate the turret conical sleeves. A
Point Punching mechanism (E-series machines) Lubrication
5 Check the lubricant level in the lubricating device of the toothed
bar of the punching mechanism.

Point Tools Lubrication
5 (option) Check the oil level and functioning of the tool lubricator. A
(option) Lubricate the locking pin of the tapping unit. C
(option) Check the oil level in the tapping unit turret through the sight
glass in the turret side. The oil tank volume is 0.3 litres.
