10. SU3/SU6C/SU9 sorting unit (option)
The SU sorting unit is equipped with an inverter-controlled squirrel-cage induction motor, moving
EUR pallets on three chains. There are three types of sorting units, the SU3, SU6C, and SU9. All
types can accommodate three EUR pallets, but the number of sorting addresses varies. It is recom-
mended to use pallets with collars in the sorting unit.
• The SU3 sorting unit is used to sort workpieces coming from the work chute, sending them to
three different sorting addresses. The maximum part size fitting on a pallet is X1200 x Y800.
The maximum size of a part leaving the work chute is X500 x Y500.
• The SU6C sorting unit is used to sort parts cut by the SG right angle shear to six different
addresses. The pallets on the chain are divided into two sections; accordingly, the maximum
part size is X1200 x Y400.
• The SU9 sorting unit is used to sort parts coming from the LP6- and LPe6-machine's small and
big work chute, sending them to a maximum of nine different sorting addresses. Each pallet
has been divided into three sections: two small sections (400 x 400) and one big section (800
x 800).
