5.1Cameracontroloptions
Thereareanumberofdifferentwaysofcontrollingthecameraremotely.
ViaawebbrowserWiththecameraconnectedtoalaptoportabletviaEthernet,you
canusethecamera’swebbrowsertoviewandcontrolthecameraremotely.
ViaaJCUWiththeJCUconnectedtothecameraviaanetworkswitch,youcanuse
theJCU’sphysicalcontrolstocontrolthecameraremotely.
ViaaRaymarineLightHouse3MFDWiththecameraconnectedtotheMFDor
theMFD’snetworkviaRayNet(Ethernet),youcanusetheMFD’sVideoapptoview
andcontrolthecameraremotely.
Note:Itisalsopossibletoswitchthethermal/visiblelightvideofeedofdualpayload
cameravariantsusinganyofthecontroloptionslistedabove.
5.2Cameraimage
TheM300cameraoutputsanIPdigitalvideofeedwhichcanbedisplayedonavideo
monitor,awebbrowser,oraRaymarineLightHouse3multifunctiondisplay(MFD).
Dependingonchosencameramodel,theIPdigitalvideofeedcomprises:
Visiblelight(daylight)image
Thermalimage
Statusiconsoverlaidonthevideoimage
ThermalCamera
Y oushouldtaketimetofamiliarizeyourselfwiththethermalimage.Thiswillhelpyouto
getthemostoutofyoursystem:
Considereveryobjectyouviewintermsofhowitwilllook“thermally”asopposedtohow
itlookstoyoureye.Forexamplelookforchangescausedbytheheatingeffectofthe
sun.Theseareparticularlyevidentrightaftersunset.
Experimentwithdifferentpalettesandscenepresets.
Experimentbylookingforhotobjects(suchaspeople)comparedtothecoldersurroundings.
Experimentwiththecamerafordaytimeviewing.Thecameracanprovideimproved
daytimeviewinginenvironmentswheretraditionalvideocameraperformancesuffers,such
asinshadowsorbacklitscenes.
