Serial Communications
Using the Serial Port
The serial port on the FM150 Fiber Meter lets you send
saved measurements to a PC or a serial printer.
The interface cable provided is configured for serial
communication with a PC. An adapter might be required
for connecting directly to a serial printer. Table 3 gives the
pin assignments for the serial cable. Refer to your printer’s
documentation for the printer’s serial port pin assignments.

The data protocol for the serial port is 1200 baud, 8 data
