Using the FOXTEL iQ2
Connecting to your TV and video recorder
The connection diagram below shows how the FOXTEL iQ2 may be
connected up to your high-definition TV, (HDTV) and video recorder.
Other connection set-ups are possible.
The diagram shows a cable FOXTEL iQ2. For a diagram showing the
satellite FOXTEL iQ2 rear view, and information about its signal inputs,
see page 80.
Notes
If you use component or composite video you must also use an
audio connection, in order to hear sound. ‘Phono leads’ shows
optional standard-definition video and audio connections to your
VCR.
Video signals fed though a VCR may be affected by copyright
protection systems, which can cause picture distortion on your TV.
Do not therefore use a path through a VCR to watch your set-top
box programmes. Use a direct video path from your set-top box to
your TV. Remember to select the correct input on your TV.
