Using Features of FRITZ!NAS
Overview
The FRITZ!Box can provide central storage (NAS = Network Attached
Storage) in the home network. With FRITZ!NAS you can access your
saved files, for instance, music, images, videos, and documents, from
all computers, smartphones, and other devices in the home network.
FRITZ!NAS can make the following data storage available:
• Internal FRITZ!Box storage
• Connected USB storage media
• Configured online storage (cloud storage)
Access Rights
If you log in to the FRITZ!Box in the home network using only the
FRITZ!Box password without a username, or directly with FRITZ!NAS,
by default you have unrestricted access to all contents in the NAS.
If you want to restrict access to NAS contents for certain users, then
you can create one or more FRITZ!Box user(s). For each FRITZ!Box user
you can define specific access rights to the NAS contents.
