8 Answering Machine
In the FRITZ!Box you can configure an answering machine for
FRITZ!Fon.
If you have multiple FRITZ!Fon cordless telephones, you can set up a
separate answering machine for each FRITZ!Fon.
8.1 Requirements
The answering machine is available if the following prerequisite is
fulfilled:
• You use a FRITZ!Box as the base station for FRITZ!Fon.
8.2 Configuring an Answering Machine in FRITZ!Box
1. To open the FRITZ!Box user interface, enter the following ad-
dress in the web browser: http://fritz.box
2. Select “Telephony / Answering Machine”.
3. Click the link “Another answering machine”.
4. Specify the mode, greeting delay and recording length. In the
“Greeting only” mode, callers cannot leave you any messages.
5. Enter a name for the answering machine and confirm by click-
ing “Next”.
6. Select one or multiple telephone numbers that you assigned
for incoming calls to your FRITZ!Fon as well.
7. Click “Next” and “Apply”.
