Other activities Carry out the following steps in accordance with the wire-feed unit operating instructions:
1. Insert the feed rollers in the wire-feed unit
2. Insert the wirespool or basket-type spool and basket spool adapter in the wire-feed
unit
3. Feeding in the wire electrode
4. Setting the contact pressure
Connecting up
the gas cylinder
WARNING! There is a high risk of very serious injury and damage from
toppling gas cylinders. Place gas cylinders on a solid, level surface in such a
way that they remain stable. Secure gas cylinders to prevent them from
toppling over.
Follow the gas cylinder manufacturer’s safety instructions.
- Briefly open the gas cylinder valve to
blow off any dust or dirt
- Inspect the seal on the pressure
regulator
NOTE! US machines are supplied with an adapter for the gas hose:
- Glue in or seal the adapter
- Test the adapter to ensure that it is gas-tight.
