Insufficient penetration when spot welding
Cause: spot-welding time too short
Remedy: increase spot-welding time using the spot-welding adjuster
Cause: spot welding power too low
Remedy: move stage switch to next higher setting (possibly use CO2 as shielding
gas)
Cause: wirefeed speed too low
Remedy: increase wirefeed speed
The following faults can only be rectified by After-Sales Service. Please contact After-
Sales Service, quote the power source serial number and give a detailed account of the
fault.
WARNING! Operating the equipment incorrectly can cause serious injury and
damage. The following faults must only be rectified by Fronius-trained quali-
fied personnel! Pay particular attention to the “Safety rules” section.
Unsteady arc, severe spattering, pores in the welding material
Cause: phase missing from mains side
Remedy: check mains fuses, mains socket and plug, voltage on power source main
contactor; change contactor if necessary
Wirefeed speed cannot be adjusted
Wirefeeder motor not running
Cause: faulty wirefeed speed adjuster
Remedy: replace MR26A PCB
Cause: control faulty
Remedy: replace MR26A PCB
Cause: wirefeeder motor faulty
Remedy: replace wirefeeder motor
No arc after torch trigger is pressed
Mains switch is ON, ready indicator is lit up, wirefeeder running
Cause: main contactor or stage switch is faulty
Remedy: replace contactor/stage switch
Operating mode selector switch does not function
Cause: control or switch faulty
Remedy: replace MR26A PCB
