Care, maintenance and disposal
General Under normal operating conditions, the welding system requires only a minimum of care
and maintenance. However, it is vital to observe some important points to ensure the weld-
ing system remains in a usable condition for many years.
Safety
WARNING!
An electric shock can be fatal.
Before opening the device
► Turn the mains switch to the "O" position
► Unplug the device from the mains
► Ensure the device cannot be switched back on
► Using a suitable measuring instrument, check to make sure that electrically charged
components (e.g. capacitors) have been discharged
WARNING!
Work that is carried out incorrectly can cause serious injury and damage.
► The following activities must only be carried out by trained and qualified personnel.
► All instructions in the section headed "Safety rules" must be observed.
At every start-up - Check mains plug, mains cable, welding torch, interconnecting hosepack and ground
earth connection for damage
- Check that the device has an all-round clearance of 0.5 m (1 ft. 8 in.) to ensure that
cooling air can flow in and out freely
NOTE!
The air inlets and outlets must never be covered, not even partially.
Every 6 months - Dismantle device side panels and clean inside of device with dry, reduced com-
pressed air
CAUTION!
Danger of damage to electronic components.
► Do not bring the air nozzle too close to electronic components.
Disposal Dispose of in accordance with the applicable national and local regulations.
