Appendix D: Changing CM3000 Line outputs from
balanced to unbalanced
The CM3000 Line outputs can be configured for balanced or unbalanced output by changing the jumper settings in side the
box. As of spring 2014, FrontRow began shipping units with the line outputs set to unbalanced to work best with Audio Out
wall plates for bringing audio into the classroom for PFM systems or computer input.
Here’s how to tell how your unit is currently set:
1. If the unit has a Calypso logo then the line outputs are set to Balanced by default, unless there is a sticker on the
output that specifies “Line Out 1 (UNBAL)”
2. All units with the FrontRow logo will be set to Unbalanced by default.
To change the line outs from Balanced to Unbalanced, you will need to open the CM3000 unit.
Step 1: Remove the 4 screws on the sides of the CM3000
