A confirmation screen appears.
(2) Click the [OK] button.
The SED authentication key is registered and the registration completion screen appears.
(3) Click the [Done] button.
The [Setup Network Environment] screen appears.
• The SED authentication key can be registered even if no SEDs are or will be installed.
• When SEDs are already installed in the ETERNUS DX, a message that requests rebooting ap-
pears. Reboot the ETERNUS DX according to the displayed message.
7 Network environment setup
Set the ETERNUS DX environment for network communication.
If the network environment is set with the factory default, some functions are not available.
Make sure to set up the network environment.
• Configure the IP addresses of the MNT port, the RMT port, and the FST port with IP addresses in
different subnetworks.
• When specifying the IP address of the Slave CM, specify an IP address that is in the same subnet
but is different from the IP address of the Master CM.
• Either or both an IPv4 address and an IPv6 address can be specified for the MNT port and the RMT
port.
• "192.168.1.1" is set as the IP address of the FST port by default. Do not use the FST port. It is only
used for maintenance work.
