Connecting U SB devices
USBports
On the USB ports, you can connect external devices that also have a U S B port
(e.g. a DVD drive, a printer, a scanner or a modem).
USB devices are hot-pluggable. This means you can connect and disconnect
devices w hile your operating system is running.
USB 1.x has a maximum da ta transfer rate of 12 Mbit/s.
USB 2.x has a data transfer rate of up to 480 Mbit/s.

Device drivers
USB devices will be automatically recognised an d installed by your operating system.
How to remove USB devices correctly
Always correctly remove the device according to the rules described below,
to ensure that none of your data is lost.
Le ft click on the icon to safely remove hardware, located in the taskbar.
Select the device which you want to shut down and remove.
Press the Enter key.
Wait for the dialogue box which tells you that it is now safe to remove the device.
