Connecting the notebook to the Port Replicator
The mains adap ter m ust be connected to the Port R eplicator when the notebook is
connected to the Port Replicator. Some ports will not function if this is not done.
We reco mmend tha t the notebook is not operated with the LCD screen
closed when the notebook is connected to the Port Replicator. The resultant
overheating can lead to a loss o f performance.

► Position the notebook so that the docking port on the underside of the notebook
is aligned with the connector on the Port Replicator.
► Press down gently on the re ar cor
ners of the noteb ook so that it locks into position .
Disconnecting the notebook from the Port Replicator
Problems may occur if the notebook is removed from the Port Replicator during
operation. We recommen d that the notebook is switched off or that the appropriate
undocking f unct ion provided by the operating system is executed.
► Pull the release lever on the right hand side of the Port Replicator until
you hear the notebook unlock.
► Now lift the noteboo k from the Port Replicator.
