Setting up WLAN access
• Requirement: A WLAN must be available and you must have the
corresponding access informa tion.
Information on configuring the WLAN access can be found in the
documentation for your op erating system.
Access via UMTS
You can purchase the accessories for UMTS recep tion from your retailer
or your Fujitsu Technology Solutions dealer.
If you have ordered a UMTS module, your device will alread y be
prepared when you receive it.
You w ill find information on establishing the connection with the UMTS
network in the documentation for the hardware used.
Your device can con
nect with the Internet via UMTS. To do this, use one of
the following t ype
s of connection:
• USB dongle
a USB stick w ith your mobile phone pro vider’s SIM card
• a mobile e nd-de v
ice (e.g. mobile phone) with Bluetooth connection
• a mobile en d-device (e .g. mobile phone) with data cable
Ethernet and LAN
EthernetLAN
The internal
network module of your notebook supports Ethern et LAN. You can use it to
establish a
connection to a local network (LAN = Local Area Network).

Your network administrator can help you to configure and use the LAN connection s.
The network cable is not included in the delivery scope. This type of
cable can be obtained from a specialist dealer.
