TheSCSIcardstandardtranslationschemecanbeuseduptoamaximumcapacityof
1GB.Thiscardcontainsanextendedtranslationschemethatallowssupportofadisk
drivewithacapacitygreaterthan1GB.ExtendedtranslationisusedonlywithMS-
DOS5.0orabove.Whenthecardisusedformirroring,thissettingshouldbesameas
thatoftheSERVER.
Whenyoucreatepartitionsonadiskdrivewithacapacitygreaterthan1GB,usethe
MS-DOSfdiskutilityintheusualway.Sinceextendedtranslationcanincreasethe
cylindersizeto8MB,youmustsetpartitionsizesinmultiplesof8MB.Ifyouseta
sizeotherthanamultipleof8MB,thefdiskutilityroundsthesizeuptothenearest
multipleof8MB.
