Resetting the
Forerunner
If your Forerunner is not operating
properly, press and hold mode and
lap/reset simultaneously until the
screen goes blank (about 7 seconds)
to reset your Forerunner. This does
not erase any of your data or settings.
Clearing User Data
CAUTION: This deletes all
user-entered information including
history.
1. Turn off the Forerunner.
2. Press and hold
mode and
until the message appears.
3. Select
�es to clear all user data.
Updating the Forerunner
Software Using Garmin
Connect
Go to www.garmin.com/products
/forerunner310xt for information
about Forerunner software updates
and Garmin Connect Web-based
software.
If there is new software available,
Garmin Connect alerts you to update
the Forerunner’s software. Follow
the on-screen instructions. Make
sure your device stays in range of the
computer during the update process.
Battery Information
Actual battery life depends on use of
the following items: GPS, backlight,
and ANT+ computer connection.
With a fully charged battery, the
Forerunner can operate up to 20
hours with GPS on.
