Pull out wheel spindle

far enough to allow the rear wheel to be
pushed forward.
Push the rear wheel forward as far as possible. Remove the chain
from the rear sprocket.

Cover the components to protect them against damage.
Warning
Danger of accidentsDamaged brake discs reduce the
braking effect.
Always lay the wheel down in such a way that the brake
disc is not damaged.
Hold the rear wheel and remove the wheel spindle. Take the rear
wheel out of the link fork.

Do not operate the foot brake lever when the rear wheel is
removed.

15.4 Installing the rear wheel
Warning
Danger of accidentsOil or grease on the brake discs reduces the braking effect.
Always keep the brake discs free of oil and grease.
Clean the brake discs with brake cleaner when necessary.

Main work
Check the wheel bearing for damage and wear.
» If the wheel bearing is damaged or worn:
Change the rear wheel bearing.
Clean and grease the contact surfaces

of the spacers.
Long-life grease ( p. 94)
Insert the spacers.

Insert the wide spacer on the left in the direction of travel.
