4.1 Tightening Bolts
Select the desired direction of rotation on the right/left switch (D).
The device rotates in the direction in which the switch is pressed.
Select the desired torque on the dial (G) (see chapter 3.5.4).
Put the device with the preselected torque on a bolt connection. If the
bolt connection is still loose, put the reaction arm (J) to the abutment.
In order to achieve consistent repeatability, the bolted
connection must be tightened from idle, without interruption
and in one go, until the device is switched o. The idle speed
must be reached before the increase in torque begins.
Respect secure position of the reaction arm (J), the reaction torque
needs to be transmitted from the reaction arm (J) in the height of the
impact socket (L).
The reaction arm always leans against
the rotation direction of the device
Press and hold the start button (I) on the pistol grip (A).
When the set torque is reached, the device switches o automatically
and rotates freely.
If the screwing process is aborted too early, the screw must
be loosened again. Then repeat the bolting process! A screw
that has been tightened to torque must not be tightened
again with the same torque. This can lead to an inadmissible
increase in torque.
Move the device to the next bolt connection and tighten it as
described above.
