10 Troubleshooting
Device
Problem: The device does not switch on after pressing the right/left
button (D) or after repeatedly pressing the start button (I).
Button pressed = "on" Unpressed button = "o"
Remedy: After a short wait, the engine starts as usual. The restart
protection switches o after approx. 3 seconds.
Problem: Device does not work when lithium-ion battery is
connected.
Remedy: If the power tool does not work after inserting the lithium-
ion battery, plug the lithium-ion battery into the charger.
The indicators on the lithium-ion battery and charger then provide
information about the charge level of the lithium-ion battery. If the
device is defective even after a charge cycle or the lithium-ion battery
can not be charged, contact the manufacturer.
Temperature Problems
Problem: Over-temperature
Remedy: After cooling down the device, it is possible to continue
working.
Problem: Device shuts o at low outdoor temperatures.
Remedy: Warm the device to a permissible ambient temperature (see
chapter 11) before continuing to work.
Problem: After inserting the lithium-ion battery into the charger, the
temperature indicator (T) on the charger will ash.
Remedy: Charging starts automatically as soon as the lithium-ion
battery reaches the correct temperature (-10 °C ... 66 °C).
