Reading Bar Codes
The RP1100 ships with an internal imager to read and enter bar code data.
To read a bar code
1. Press Power key to turn on the RP1100.
2. Point the scanner window at the bar code label, and hold the RP1100 steady a few inches from the
label.
3. In File Explorer, Flash Disk > Scanner > ScanDemo > execute G2W_Scanner
4. Press the Scan button. The laser pointer and illumination beam and frame appear.
5. Use the laser pointer as a guide and aim toward the middle of the bar code. Make sure that the
illumination frame covers the bar code you are trying to decode.
When the RP1100 successfully reads a bar code label, you hear a high beep, and the Good Read
LED turns on briefly.
6. Release the Scan button.
