2.4 MACHINERY ROOM
ROOM SPECIFICATIONS
The lift’s machinery room can be classified as follows:
A) Machinery room inside the well with external electrical panel in a cabinet
In any case, the following conditions must be fulfilled:
Instructions on how to carry out the manual emergency operation and use the emergency key for the
landing doors must be displayed in the machinery room;
The machinery room must always be kept locked to prevent unauthorised persons from entering;
Authorised persons are: members of any Inspection Bodies and the lift maintenance company’s personnel.
The custodial personnel of the building or the lift owner may only enter in an emergency, and only if properly
instructed, to carry out the emergency operation and evacuate the passengers from the car.
No foreign material must be stored in the machinery room.
The temperature in the machinery room must be between 5 and 40 °C to prevent damage to the equipment,
in accordance with regulations.
PRECAUTIONS FOR THE WELL
The lift is designed so that people are not endangered by its moving parts or can reach (directly or holding objects)
the equipment in the well and impair its operation.
To this end, the well is fitted with panelled protections in accordance with the technical regulations in force.
