2.5 CLEANING
Purpose
The areas that need cleaning are: the interior of the car, the landing doors and door frames, the buttons and indicator
plates and the sill of the car and landing doors.
Responsibility
Cleaning operations must be carried out exclusively by personnel authorized by the owner and trained for the purpose
by the maintenance company and in any case in the presence of competent personnel from the maintenance
company.
Safety Precautions
When using electrical cleaning equipment inside the car, care must be taken so that the landing doors and cabin doors
do not close while the electrical appliance is connected to the power supply.
Instructions
When cleaning, the following rules must be observed:
1. Never use cleaning products containing solvents or abrasives,
2. All materials can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth.
3. When cleaning different materials, always use the product and cleaning method suitable for the most
delicate material.
Avoid letting the water flow into the cabin, into the shaft and into the pit.
Clean the sills and door grooves with a vacuum cleaner. Use slow-steaming solvents such as white spirit or kerosene to
dissolve solidified dirt and then remove it with a brush. If necessary, scrape off solidified dirt.
Clean the car panels, car doors and landing doors with products appropriate for each material.
Materials with a textured surface, or which show signs of finish (brushing, grain, etc.), must be cleaned in the direction
of the surface finish. Cleaning across the finishes may damage the surface.

Polished stainless steel has a very delicate finish. Follow the rules listed below for cleaning:with a stainless steel
polishing compound, spray the surface and clean with a white cotton cloth. Polish with another cotton cloth.

cleaning:
clean the surface with a damp cloth using warm soapy water (do not use detergents).
Rinse using a damp cloth and cold, clean water.
Allow to dry and then polish with a clean, dry white cotton cloth.
