DESCRIPTION
A
DESCENT INTO PIT EN81-20 WITH NO CAR MOVEMENT
“high” / “low” TMC car = pit with a height of more than 1,000mm.
ENTRY SEQUENCE
STEP
ACTION
1
Bring the car to the next floor above the pit by traditional call.
2
Open the landing door to the pit with the emergency key.
3
The lift is out of service (floor call buttons are lit up).
4
Press the emergency stop (red button).
5
Detach the ladder from its storage housing and place it ready for descent into the pit.
6
Close the landing door (for safety).
7
Put the ladder back into its storage housing.
8
The maintenance technician can now work in the pit without moving the car, e.g. to clean or carry out maintenance
operations, etc.
EXIT SEQUENCE

ACTION
1
Detach the ladder from its storage housing and place it ready to climb out of the pit.
2
Open the landing door to the pit by pulling the lock release cable on the door.
3
Climb out of the pit up to the entrance landing.
4
Put the ladder back into its storage housing.
5
Release the emergency stop (red button).
6
Close the landing door.
7
Turn the key on the “RESET” switch outside the landing to reset the electrical panel functions (buzzer).
8
The lift is back in service (floor call buttons are not lit).
IMPORTANT!
When exiting the pit and/or the car roof, the maintenance technician is advised to ensure that no
equipment or tools have been left behind that can impair smooth operation of the lift or even
cause accidents.
