2.2. Charging the battery
The battery is charged at high voltage. If the mains cable or socket is damaged, wet
or dirty, you may get an electric shock from it. Danger o
f death!
Only use the supplied battery charger.
Do not use the battery charger when wet.
Do not use the mains cable or charger if damaged. Replace damaged mains
cable or charger immediately.
Before connecting the charger cable, remove any foreign matter
from the
charging socket, e.g. dirt, ice or snow.
Do not use the charger in damp rooms or if the ambient temperature falls
outside of the permissible operating temperature of -
10°C (14°F) to 40°C
(104°F).
Only use the battery for the GRACE EASY.
Do not submerge the battery under water.
Keep the battery away from infants.
The battery heats up when charging!
Only charge the battery in locations without any combustible materials in
the proximity.
During charging, place the charger and battery on a non-
combustible
surface.
If you choose to charge the battery while fitted to the bike, place the bike
somewhere where a potential fire is not able to spread.
Do not charge the battery on carpeted floors.
Do not cover up the battery and battery charger during charging.
Using a charger different to the one supplied can cause the battery to overheat.
Risk of explosion!
To charge the battery only use the charger supplied.
