5. Maintenance
5.1. Regular maintenance work
Before each ride:
Check the wheels and tyres
Check the drive belt
Check the battery fitting
Check the function and wear of the brake system
Check screw connections
Every 300 500 km (186 310 miles):
Check the drive belt for wear and check the tension/travel is correct
Remove any dirt from the drive belt and timing pulleys
Check that the screw connections sit tightly
Measure the wear surface of the brake discs
1 x year/after 1000 km (621 miles), afterwards every 2000 km (1242 miles), by a specialist
dealer:
Check the forks bearing, replace where necessary
Check the wheel hubs, replace where necessary
Check the pedals, replace where necessary
Check the drive belt, replace where necessary
Check the shift cable, replace where necessary
Check the tightening torques on all screw connections
Adjust the gear switching, check the forks bearing and brakes
Make sure the drive belt is tensioned correctly, check for wear
Check the wheels and tyres
Check the stem and handlebars and heavily used parts for wear
Check the derailleur gear
5.2. Removing/installing the front wheel
The hydraulic disc brakes must not be operated while the wheel is disassembled.
The brake pistons come together completely. Immediately after removing the
wheel, place the yellow transportation safety between the brake pads.
