6.2.12 How to Replace the X-motor
The CE5000-40 and the CE5000-60 models use the same X-motor.
The CE5000-120/120AP model uses a different X-motor from the CE5000-40 and the CE5000-60 models.
How to detach the X-motor
(1) Detach the left side cover (see Subsection 6.1.2).
(2) Detach the front guide (see Subsection 6.1.5 or 6.1.6).
(3) Detach the rear guide (see Subsection 6.1.7).
(4) LoosenthetwoM3L4WPsetscrewsholdingtheX-motorpulleythendetachtheX-motorpulley.

(5) Remove the three M3L6 binding head screws holding the X-motor then detach the X-motor.
(6) Disconnect the X-motor cable from its connector(s) on the main board.
CE5000-40/60: ............. Disconnect the encoder cable from the motor and disconnect the motor cable
from the relay connector.
CE5000-120/120AP: .... DisconnectthecablesfromconnectorJ1102andJ1104ontheX-motorrelay
board.
(7) Removethewiringharnesstie-wrapholdingtheX-motorharnessanddetachtheX-motor.
