(4)-4 Remote unit settings
Make the settings for connecting the wireless sensor (GL100-WL) and the remote terminal (GLT400) as
a remote unit of the GL840. Up to 5 remote units, including the wireless sensor (GL100-WL) and remote
terminal (GLT400), can be connected.
The maximum number of channels on the remote terminal (GLT400) is 200 channels, including the number
of analog channels on the GL840. Even if the channel inputs are switched to Off, the channels are included
in the total number of channels.
Selection item Description
Connect I/F Select the interface for connecting the remote unit.
Wireless LAN: The wireless sensor (GL100-WL) and the remote terminal (GLT400)
equipped with a wireless LAN unit can be connected.
Wired LAN: Connect via the wired LAN. Only the remote terminal (GLT400) can be
connected.
Access Remote Unit Switch the connected remote unit display.
Wireless sensor: Switches to the wireless sensor setting screen.
Remote terminal: Switches to the remote terminal setting screen.
List: Displays a list of both wireless sensors and remote terminals.
Up to 5 wireless sensors (GL100-WL) and remote terminals (GLT400) can be
connected in total.
Wireless sensor
settings
Number The wireless sensor can be connected to any number from WL1 to WL5.
Connection The wireless sensor is enabled by setting the connection to On with any number from
WL1 to 5. Up to 5 wireless sensors and remote terminals can be set to On in total.
Device name If you know the unit name to be connected, you can set by directly entering it with a
character string.
Search After searching for the connected wireless sensors, they are displayed in the
wireless sensor list. Select the unit to connect from the displayed wireless sensors.
Because the search is performed by broadcasting, the wireless sensors connected
to networks beyond the segment cannot be searched.
AMP1, AMP2 Displays the AMP information of the recognized wireless sensor.
Remote terminal
settings
Number The remote terminal can be connected to any number from RT1 to 5.
Connection The remote sensor is enabled by setting the connection to On with any number from
RT1 to 5. Up to 5 remote terminals and wireless sensors can be set to On in total.
Identication name The identication name is displayed.
Register You can search for a connected remote terminal and register by directly entering the
identication name, IP address, and domain name. Because the search is performed
by broadcasting, the remote terminals connected to the network beyond the segment
cannot be searched. To connect the remote terminal connected to the network
beyond the segment, search by the IP address or domain name that you entered
directly.
AMP terminals Displays the AMP information of the recognized remote terminal.
List display Number, Device
name, AMP
Displays a list of the connected wireless sensors and the remote terminals.
When connecting the remote unit via wireless LAN, the wireless sensor cannot be connected unless the
wireless LAN remote unit is connected to the wireless LAN base unit in advance.
When connecting wirelessly, the performance may not be satised depending on the wireless
environment. In that case, improve the wireless environment or make the settings to reduce the wireless
load (reduce the number of channels, slow down the sampling interval, etc.).
