WARNING
TRANSPORTING MACHINE
Always back machine onto trailer to
avoid accidental upset.
Use a heavy-duty trailer to transport your ma-
chine. Trailer must have signs and lights
required by law.
1. Raise mower deck to the transport (highest)
height position so that the transport latch hooks
over the catch on the latch tube guide. Place the
height adjustment pin in the top (5 inch) hole.
2. BACK machine onto trailer. See "LOAD-
ING MACHINE" below.
3. Stop the engine, engage the park brake and re-
move the key.
4. Place the height adjustment pin in the bot-
tom (1 inch) hole and lower the mower deck to
the lowest position.
5. Securely fasten machine to trailer with
heavy-duty straps, chains or cables. Both
front and rear straps must be directed
down and outward from machine.

Be careful activating dump valves when
machine is on a slope. Machine could
“freewheel” out of control causing
serious injury or damage to equipment.
WARNING
USING A BOOSTER BATTERY
Battery gas is explosive:
Always wear appropriate eye
protection.
DO NOT smoke while you charge
battery. Keep all flames and sparks
away. DO NOT charge a frozen
battery. DO NOT connect booster
battery negative (-) cable to mower
battery negative (-) terminal.
(Refer to Fig. 8)
1. Connect positive (+) booster cable to booster
battery positive (+) post.
2. Connect the other end of positive (+) booster
cable to mower starter positive terminal (A).
3. Connect negative (-) booster cable to booster
battery negative (-) post.
4. Connect the other end of negative (-) booster
cable to the left engine lift lug (B) on the
mower.
