sure that the power supply cannot be
switched on accidentally.

‐ Depressurise the system before you
start any work on the product. The
pumped liquid may be scalding hot and
under high pressure.
‐ Drain the system or close the isolating
valves on either side of the pump.

‐ When servicing the product, only use
Grundfos original spare parts.
11.1 Pump is not running
Pump is not running.
No lights on Grundfos Eye.

Power supply failure. 1. Switch on the power
supply.
2. Check cables and
cable connections for
defects and loose
connections.
3. Check if the external
motor protection has
tripped.
Fuses blown. 1. Check cables and
cable connections for
defects.
2. Replace the fuses.
11.2 Pump is not running
Pump is not running.
Two opposite red indicator lights flashing
simultaneously, which indicates an alarm. The motor
is stopped.

Cause Remedy
Sensor is defective. • Replace sensor.
The pump inlet pressure
is too low.
• Check the inlet
conditions of the pump.
The inlet pipe is partly
blocked by impurities.
• Remove and clean the
inlet pipe.
The non-return valve is
blocked in closed
position.
• Inspect, repair or
replace the non-return
valve if necessary.
There is air in the inlet
pipe or pump.
• Vent the inlet pipe and
the pump.
The inlet pressure
switch is defective.

pressure switch.
