3. Receiving the product
3.1 Transporting the product
WARNING

‐ Secure the product during transport to prevent it from
tilting or falling down.
‐ When moving the pallets by forklift, only transport one
pallet at a time to prevent the load from falling down.
‐ When storing the product, do not stack more than two
pallets on top of each other.

‐ Use lifting equipment and follow local regulations
when lifting the product.

‐ Wear safety shoes when moving the product.

3.2 Inspecting the product
Before installing the product, do the following:
1. Check that the product is as ordered.
If the product is not as ordered, contact the supplier.
2. Check that no visible parts have been damaged.
If any visible parts have been damaged, contact the transport
company.
4. Mechanical installation
Installation related work on the product must only be
performed by qualified persons.
WARNING
Rotating parts
Death or serious personal injury
‐ Stay clear of the product after switching on power, as
the shaft can rotate immediately.
‐ Make sure to install a protective cover before powering
on the product.
WARNING
Flying object
Death or serious personal injury
‐ If no pump or coupling is attached to the motor, always
remove the parallel key from the motor shaft before
starting the motor.

Crushing of feet

‐ Secure the product to a solid foundation by bolts
through the holes in the flange or the foot.
WARNING
Tilting object

‐ Keep your distance when lifting the motor, as the
motor may tilt slightly to the sides.

‐ When opening the packaging or mounting the product
on a pump, wear protective gloves to avoid
cutting your hands on sharp edges.
To maintain the cURus mark, additional requirements
apply to the equipment.
4.1 Handling the product
• Observe local regulations concerning limits for manual lifting or
handling. The weight of the motor is stated on the nameplate.

‐ Make sure that the air inlets are kept clean and free of
residuals.

‐ Do not start up and run the motor if there is no pump
connected to it or if the fan cover is not installed.
