8.5 Installation checklist.
During the installation phase:
DO NOT apply mains power to the unit.
DO NOT apply water to the unit.

Unpack, inspect for completeness and any damage.

supplier/customer

Ensure that the installation location meets all the
requirements in this manual.

Make wall/floor fixings.
If required

Remove the screws retaining front cover.
Remove front cover. Place to one side.

Locate unit and fasten down unit as required.
Fill Glycol tank if required.
Only on Glycol unit (PHT A V)

Make the mains water supply connection to the float valve.
Do not turn on water.
Recommend using an
Isolation valve.

Make the PHT A discharge to system connections.
Ensure the discharge isolating valve is closed.

Make the overflow connection to drain.

❑
Remove the screws retaining the top cover of the controller
and open.

Wire the supplied mains supply cable to the isolator
or fused spur for the product. If the wire is not long
enough replace with equivalent wire wired through
the M20 cable gland into the connector block inside
of the unit.
Perform continuity check.
Before Earth bond test.
Label wires.
System must be earthed.
Power to remain OFF and
locked OFF

Wire digital outputs through the white side wall grommet
to final destination. Do not apply any voltages at this time.

Re-fit the controller top cover.

Review all of the above actions, if the commissioning
phase does not follow immediately after, replace the
front cover and screws. Leave the unit in a safe condition.
Leave Isolated electrically
and hydraulically
