Chapter 1: Safety
1.1 Introduction
Before you work with your Bar Feeder, read this manual and the warning labels on the
machine. Make sure that everyone who uses this equipment understands the hazards
found in and around automatic equipment. Only trained operators should use this machine.
WARNING: The Bar Feeder is controlled by the lathe and may start at any time.

1.2 Read Before Operating
Do not use the Bar Feeder until you have read all safety instructions, warnings, and
cautions associated with this machine.
Basic safety:
Read and follow all machine maintenance, setup, and operation instructions. Read and
follow spindle liner installation and use instructions.
Electrical safety:
Disconnect the electrical power before you do maintenance tasks.
