2.4 Installing the Stir Bar
A small stir bar for the sample cell in the colorimeter assembly is included in
the installation kit furnished with the instrument. The stir bar must be installed
for the instrument to operate properly.
Install the stir bar as follows:
Note: Make sure the stir bar drops
down into the colorimeter and
remains in the colorimeter.
1. Remove the plug in the top of the colorimeter.
2. Drop the stir bar into the hole. See Figure 18. The bar should rest on the
bottom of the vertical bore.
3. Replace the plug.

Drop the Stir Bar
into the hole and
replace the plug.
